Hi Neighbors:

The summer brought us several new residents in The Landings. We happily welcome
them to the neighborhood and encourage them to join the LRA if they have not
already joined.

If any of our new residents live on your street please personally welcome them and
invite them to attend our annual Landings Block Party on November 7th. This is a
great time to socialize and meet residents from all areas of The Landings. More
information will be sent out in October.

Have you signed up for

CODE RED

? This is a high-speed telephone communication

service that enables the City to send emergency notifications to registered phone
numbers. This will be used to keep you informed in the event of evacuation notices,
utility outages, water main breaks, floods, chemical spills or other emergency
situations. For example, last month we were notified of a boil water request before it
was announced on TV or the newspaper. All residents and business in the City of Fort
Lauderdale are encouraged to register their phone numbers.

Would you like $100 for replacing your old high flow toilets with new water saving
models? In addition to saving you money each month on your water bill you would
be eligible for a $100 rebate. Your plumber will need a City permit to qualify. Visit
conservationpays.com for more information.

Our new LRA membership chairperson (Diane Dodich) has worked many hours
compiling the data for The Landings 2015-2017 Roster. It is now at the printer. We
expect all paid LRA members to receive the directory by September 15th.

Please SAVE THE DATE: November 7th from 5:30pm-7:30pm for our annual Landings
Block Party.

Sincerely,

Terry Bond, President

FYI…Burglary in the Landings!

A Landings home on NE 31st Avenue was recently broken into and we want to
remind everyone in the neighborhood to please keep an eye out for suspicious activity!
FLPD urges all residents to be aware of your surroundings. Improved awareness can
help prevent our community from becoming victims of crime or terrorism.

IF YOU SEE SOMETHING, SAY SOMETHING! If you see suspicious activity,
contact FLPD at 954-764-4357. In emergency situations, call 9-1-1. Thank you!
