                                              The Good news!
Our COVID-19 numbers continue to fall; Death Rate, Positivity Rates, Hospitalization
cases, are all down for August.
Most importantly our Positivity Rates are averaging under 5%, beating our goal of
10%. Keep wearing masks, social distance, and wash hands. We have turned the
corner on the virus. Let’s put it behind us and get back to life.
Census Ends September 30! Take Action Now!
Attention Neighbors! The U.S. Census Bureau is ending all counting efforts for the
2020 census on September 30. Please help the City of Fort Lauderdale be
accurately counted in the 2020 Census. Currently, Fort Lauderdale’s response rate
is 54.0%. Counting every neighbor in our City gives us an opportunity to receive
our fair share of more than $1.5 trillion in Federal Funding for infrastructure,
schools, housing, roads, healthcare and public service programs. An accurate
census count also provides critical funding for hospitals, disaster recovery and
Ed Rebholz emergency readiness for pandemics like COVID-19.

Officers Lauderdale Harbors, thanks to George Gill, who built Lauderdale Harbors in the 1950‘s

Vice-President and chose to build some of the highest isles in Fort Lauderdale, should be in good
Aimara Sage shape. For now, we don’t see the flooding like the Los Olas and Rio Vista communities.
Secretary Anticipated dates for King Tides are as follows:
                     Chelsea Krebs 1) September 16 - 22 2) October 14 - 21
                       Treasurer 3) November 13 - 18 4) December 13 - 15
Bonnie Rogers These tides have historically caused flooding in low lying areas of our community.
Avoid driving on flooded streets. If you experience flooding on your street, make
Welcome Committee sure storm drains are not blocked. For more information about steps the City is
