this vibrant city came out of nowhere and I felt like I’d
missed it. How did they do it? By adding art, music
and creative spaces to play in or host events. This is
what worked so beautifully in Wynwood and you can
see how they’ve thrived as a retail, dining and
creative tech destination. One business feeds off the
other. I’m trying to give people more than one reason
to visit the boulevard, especially the professionals
who drive here every day,” says Vaughan.
Previously with Goldman Properties and Wynwood
Walls in Miami, the local downtown resident found
her dream job, and with a better commute. “A
recruiter called me with the opportunity and as she
was going through the job description, word for
word, I was thinking – that’s ME,” Vaughan says of
the opportunity to lead the Association.

Leah has worked in some of the most notable
hospitality companies, private clubs and luxury
venues in the world including Hyatt, ClubCorp,
Disney, Chateau Julien Estate, Casa Casuarina
(Versace Mansion), and Cat Cay Yacht Club
Bahamas. These experiences have shaped her
extraordinary expertise in private club membership,
        producing community-centric events and destination
marketing, providing an ideal background well-suited
to developing long term relationships as a community
leader, small business advocate and events curator
for the 55-year-old Las Olas Association.
“We were fortunate to have hundreds of applicants to
choose from for this position,” says Luke Moorman,
President of Las Olas Association and owner at
        Carroll’s Jewelers. “Leah was a stand-out. We’ve
been impressed with her immediate willingness to get
involved, adjust to new surroundings, build up her
staff with interns and attract new sponsors to our
upcoming signature events, Christmas on Las Olas
        and Exotics on Las Olas.”
Sitting her new offices, the smiling mother of three
grown sons shares “I’m very excited about what’s
next for Las Olas Boulevard. The motto is Eat, Live,
Work & Play. I’d like to focus on building up that
        sense of play.”
